By committing to this Campaign for 5 years, donors will help support various WIZO projects, among them the WIZO Nir Haemek Youth and School Village. Located adjacent to the city of Afula in the Jezreel Valley in northern Israel, WIZO Nir Haemek provides residential facilities for approximately 400 students from diverse backgrounds, many of the survivors of abuse and neglect. Several of the students are referred by social service agencies. Residential students are joined at the Youth Village School by children from a broad area around Afula, who return to their families at the end of the school day. WIZO Nir Haemek is invested in providing students with a wide variety of resources in an effort to enable them to reach their academic and personal potentials. Nir Haemek prides itself in being a school where classes are small, teachers are caring and individual attention is the norm.
