WIZO Florida Chairperson Election
Dear friends:
I am delighted to share with you my excitement as I watch WIZO Florida grow and become a true force within the local Jewish Community. Because of this, WIZO Florida Board of Directors has decided to call for elections of the new WIZO Florida Executive Board, under the leadership of our new WIZO USA Co-President, Jana Falic. After giving the matter careful consideration, this is the official slate that was agreed upon:
President Judit Groisman
Vice-presidents Ruthy Benoliel and Lillian Tabacinic
Your participation in these proceedings is very important. If you wish to nominate yourself to any of the positions available, you are welcome to do so in writing to the WIZO Florida office before elections take place in September 13, 2010. The remaining positions in the official slate shall be filled later in the summer. The position of WIZO Florida President will be for 2 years with the option of reelection for 2 more years.
Mercedes Ivcher is the new WIZO USA Founding President alongside Evelyn Sommer. Beverly Koplowitz and Rosita Retelny will continue in their positions as WIZO USA Vice Presidents and Anita Friedman will join them in said position as well.
I am certain that this change of leadership will bring renewed strength and vitality to the organization. I am honored to have served as your President for the past 4 years I will undoubtedly continue working with all of you to help achieve WIZO goals in Eretz Israel.
